StoryWalk

During the week of November 12-18, the Marion Public Library will be participating in StoryWalk® week. StoryWalks® help to promote literacy, reading, health, exercise, and movement in communities and neighborhoods.

A Book Walk a Day will be set up around the library's outside perimeter. Families can visit each day to read a new book, while enjoying the outdoors.

You can also visit the Book Walk at the Marion Tallgrass Trail. The newest book to be placed along the trail, Where is the Moon/¿Dónde estará la Luna?, by Brendan Kearney (placed August 2023), has QR codes that link to a number of OSUM students reading the spread in both English and Spanish. For more information on this Book Walk visit https://www.letsread20.org/book-walk.html.

The StoryWalk® concept was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and was developed with the help of Rachel Senechal, Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
