"Dollar a Day Boys" - An Evening of Local History

Join us for an hour-long multi-media program about the Civilian Conservation Corps, FDR's work program in The Great Depression.  The CCC built state parks, planted forests, built roads and helped in emergencies including the Ohio River flood of '37. Over 139,000 men in Ohio enlisted.  Marion was the site of one of the CCC's bases of operation: Camp Harding opened in July 1940, 3 miles southeast of town.
